With compassion, Victor J. Adamson reaches out to the LGBTQ+ community and to all affected by the issue of homosexuality. Homosexuality in the church is a topic that is too often avoided. He shares his personal story of rescue through Jesus and teaches what does the Bible say about being gay and lesbian?
Adamson received the letter below from a beloved teenager. It troubled him greatly, but he wants to share a path to help from God:
What do you do when you have tried all the suggestions for overcoming, but you just can’t seem to shake it? What do you do when you feel hopeless? What do you do when you feel rejected by your family? What do you do when you feel so discouraged that you never want to try again? What if you have tried counseling and it didn’t work? What if you have tried claiming Scripture and memorizing, but it seems futile? What if you want to live, but kill yourself at the same time? What if you already have attempted? What do you do when it’s all you can think about? How do you deal with being molested? How could I ever be changed and happy? I have tried everything.
To this beloved teenager, and to everyone who is asking what does the Bible say about being gay and lesbian, Adamson has a message of love and hope. He invited and allowed Jesus Christ to truly be Lord and Master in all dimensions of his life.
More than twenty years ago the Lord rescued Adamson from homosexuality. He was desperate to understand what does the Bible say about being gay and lesbian, and God answered. Through much prayer, study of God’s Word, and guidance of the Holy Spirit, he was able to find strait answers to all his gay questions and walk away from his old life and into his new life in Christ.
